Chris Anderson was born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad. He began his training at the age of 19 with a local firm and later continued to develop his craft in schools at home and abroad.

Chris started his own studio in 1986 and a few years later his wife Nicole joined the business as it began to grow. In the early years Chris began as a traditional jeweller but slowly began to create pieces in copper and brass.

Today Chris and Nicole operate their studio in the tropical suburban valleys of the northern range 10 minutes by car outside the capital city of Port of Spain. Their jewellery lines have expanded to include unusual beach stones, one of a kinds and limited edition sterling which is exported and sold to fine gift shops in countries such as Holland, France and Canada and now the UK. Chris runs a conscious company that operates with awareness of its environment, employees and customers at all times.

There is a familiar feel across all of the work, something Chris calls modern ethnic and it links the work from the beginning to the present. The artist’s unique creative signature that is evolving but yet always recognizable as his own.

His influences are wide with tribal cultures being a prominent source of inspiration. Fashion will play an increasingly important role with Chris continuing to contribute to today's global looks with his own mix. His hope always is for buyers to appreciate and connect with the work.
